Pomoc Death Counter

Death Counter

Death Counter

The Death Counter is a module for tracking in-game deaths. You can change the value manually in the panel or via chat commands. The overlay displays the counter in real time - add it to OBS as a Browser Source at http://localhost:47201/death-counter.

Counter and Sessions

The module tracks two separate counters:

  • Total deaths - the sum of all deaths for the current game
  • Session deaths - the counter since the last session reset, displayed below the main number in the panel

The + and - buttons in the panel add or subtract one death. You can also use chat commands (see below).

Games

In the Games section you add game names that you assign death stats to. To add a game, type its name and click Add or press Enter. Click a game name in the list to set it as active. The active game is highlighted with a purple border.

Each game has its own session history. Stats are preserved even when you switch the active game.

Reset

  • Reset session - zeroes the session counter but keeps the total death count and saves the finished session in history
  • Reset game - zeroes both the total death count and the session counter for the current game (requires confirmation)

History

Switch to the History view using the button in the top-right corner of the tab to see:

  • Total deaths and number of sessions for each game
  • The last 10 sessions with their date and death count

The history can be cleared with the Clear history button (requires confirmation).

Chat Commands

For each command you can set the minimum permission level required to use it:

  • !deaths - displays the current death count in chat (default: everyone)
  • !dc + - adds one death (default: moderator)
  • !dc - - subtracts one death (default: moderator)
  • !dc reset - resets the session (default: broadcaster)

Available permission levels: Everyone, Subscribers, VIP, Moderators, Broadcaster.

Overlay Appearance

In the Appearance section (visible when the history view is turned off) you can customize the overlay. Ready-made templates are available:

  • Minimal - transparent background, skull icon, large counter, game name below
  • Retro - black background with a white border, 8-bit style font, DEATHS label
  • Neon - semi-transparent background, pink counter, cyan DEATHS label
  • Custom - full element editing in the layout editor

Layout Editor

After selecting a template you can edit each widget element individually:

  • Icon - symbol displayed on the widget (e.g. skull)
  • Counter - field with the current death count
  • Label - any text (e.g. game name or "DEATHS")

For each element you can set the position (X, Y), size, font, color, text alignment, and visibility. For the entire widget you can set: width and height, background color, border (width, color), and corner rounding.

Death Animation

The overlay plays an animation every time the counter increases. Options:

  • Shake - the widget shakes from side to side
  • Pulse - the widget pulses (scales up and down)
  • Flash - the widget flashes
  • Bounce - the widget jumps upward
  • None - no animation
The overlay does not appear when the counter is 0. It will show up automatically after the first recorded death in the session.
