Pomoc Shoutout

Shoutout

Shoutout overlay

The shoutout overlay displays a promotion card for another streamer - with their avatar, channel name, last game and link. Available as a standalone Browser Source at http://localhost:47201/shoutout or as part of the Master overlay (/master).

If you are already using the Master overlay (/master), you do not need to add a separate source for shoutout - it is already included. Add /shoutout only if you want to place it as an independent OBS source.

How to trigger a shoutout?

A shoutout can be triggered in several ways:

  • Bot command - type !so [username] in chat (e.g. !so streamername). The command is available to moderators and the broadcaster.
  • Manually from the panel - in the Overlays → Shoutout tab enter the username and click Send Shoutout.
  • Automatically on raid - if you enable the Auto shoutout on raid option, the overlay will trigger automatically when someone raids your channel.

What does the shoutout card display?

The overlay fetches data from Twitch and displays:

  • User avatar (can be disabled)
  • Channel name
  • Last game they played
  • Channel URL (twitch.tv/[login])
  • Video clip or thumbnail - if the Show clip option is enabled

Appearance configuration

In the panel you can customize:

  • Display duration - how long the card stays on screen
  • Animation - card entry and exit effect
  • Template text - message content using variables: {username}, {login}, {game}, {url}, {viewers}
  • Subtext - additional line below the main text (e.g. last game: {game})
  • Colors and style - background color, background opacity, text color, font size
  • Card position - where on screen the card appears: top-center, top-left, top-right, bottom-center, bottom-left, bottom-right
  • Show avatar - whether to display the streamer's profile picture

Video clip

If you enable the Show clip option, the overlay will fetch a video clip from the channel and play it during the shoutout. You can set a clip age filter - e.g. show only clips from the last 30 days to avoid outdated content.

If the channel has no clips matching the filter (or has no clips at all), the channel thumbnail will be displayed instead of a clip.

Native Twitch shoutout

The Send native Twitch shoutout option (sendTwitchSo) automatically executes the /shoutout [user] command on Twitch when a shoutout is triggered from the panel or by the bot. This requires the StreamieHUB bot to have moderator permissions on your channel.

The shoutout fetches data from the Twitch API at the moment it is triggered. If the user is currently streaming, the viewer count is available as the {viewers} variable in the template text.
